History of the Damsel Yearbook
NOTE: Listed release dates for pictures are based on the earliest date available, as drawings are often posted in one place earlier than others (usually Patreon). There may be inconsistencies with dates listed elsewhere.

Humble beginnings

June 23, 2015

Rosie uploads her first piece of bondage art to DeviantArt.

October 12, 2018

Frustrated by her art skills and her inability to practice for the sake of it, Rosie gives herself a goal by sketching a tiny portrait of a tied up anime girl every day.

November 27, 2018

At the request of Nothles, Rosie uploads a sketch of Spider-Man's Black Cat. This gets more popular than anticipated in spite of the crusty low resolution.

December 29, 2018

One sketch gets out of hand and turns into a complete picture, "Sophitia's Lament". By proxy, this later becomes entry #1 in the Damsel Yearbook.

March 30, 2019

Rosie publicly refers to her grid of sketches as "The Damsel Yearbook" for the first time.

April 21, 2019

Rosie begins to mess around with a web page that could display the Damsel Yearbook in a fun way.

May 2019

Rosie opens a Patreon page.

The Yearbook begins

July 21, 2019

SEASON 1 BEGINS
Rosie begins to finish her Yearbook sketches by inking and coloring them. The Yearbook as we know it begins. Everything sketched up to this point later becomes known as the "Very Old Sketches", as a number of them will take an incredibly long time to be finished.

August 1, 2019

At the recommendation of Nothles, Rosie adds a one-time free Yearbook request as a Patreon incentive. She also begins doing monthly themed polls for the Yearbook.

September 1, 2019

The sign-up incentive evolves into a limited tier where patrons can request a damsel every month.
SEASON 2 BEGINS

March 3, 2020

As of #30 Purple Heart, the resolution of Yearbook drawings is doubled.

March 10, 2020

The monthly Patreon polls pivot away from the Yearbook.

June 20, 2020

Rosie begins livestreaming her art on Picarto. This often involves doing a Yearbook sketch as a warmup.

August 12, 2020

DeviantArt uploads of the Yearbook, which had been released in batches until now, start being uploaded individually. However, due to submission limits in some groups on the site, this causes Yearbook uploads to be staggered and lag behind other sites such as Twitter.

December 17, 2020

Rosie uses her money saved from Patreon and commission work to buy a new tablet.

January 22, 2021

SEASON 3 BEGINS

January 30, 2021

Live stream Yearbook sketches change from an open request format to voting on a premade selection called the "Viewer's Choice".

February 27, 2021

The Yearbook reaches 100 drawings! To mark the occasion, Rosie draws one of the great classic damsels, April O'Neil.

May 27, 2021

The Yearbook website begins to take shape when Rosie finally figures out how to make the images display as a nice grid.

July 1, 2021

Rosie prepares to move to the United States to get married. Because of what has been diplomatically named "stupid xenophobic bullshit", it is a long and difficult process to get authorization to work there, so the Patreon is put on hiatus. With the subsequent lack of requests, Yearbook updates begin to focus on completing existing sketches.

July 23, 2021

Rosie leaves for the US.

The Empire State

September 27, 2021

SEASON 4 BEGINS
New Yearbook material created post-move starts being released. Around the same time, DeviantArt uploads finally catch up with the rest.

December 9, 2021

The Damsel Yearbook website officially opens to the public.

January 6, 2022

For drawing #150, Rosie finally properly finishes that Black Cat sketch from 2018.

July 1, 2022

SEASON 5 BEGINS
The Patreon reopens. Damsel Yearbook requests start up again.

November 7, 2022

SEASON 6 BEGINS
Yearbook work resumes after a brief hiatus caused by Rosie catching COVID-19.

November 28, 2022

The last of the "Very Old Sketches" is finally completed with #199 Caeda.

November 30, 2022

The Yearbook reaches 200 drawings! This time, Rosie goes all the way back to one of her first DID memories with Eva Earlong from Jazz Jackrabbit.

New horizons

January 17, 2023

Due to an oncoming burnout, Rosie overhauls the Patreon. As part of this, Yearbook requests are sunset at the end of February. It is agreed that the last round of requests will be finished at Rosie's own pace.

May 27, 2023

The rosiero.com main site opens to the public, with some integration with the existing Yearbook site. This is improved in the following months.

June 15, 2023

Rosie leaves DeviantArt, where she had been posting her art since 2015, due to increasing dissatisfaction with the site.

June 20, 2023

With #218 Eilonwy, the final Yearbook request is completed.

July 21, 2023

With #220 Rhea, all unfinished Yearbook sketches are finished. Rosie puts the Yearbook on a temporary break.

October 2023

The Yearbook celebrates its 5th anniversary with big website updates and remakes of several early drawings.
